1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Job Connect ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the Platform or use any of its services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform, including but not limited to job seekers ("Employees"), hiring companies ("Employers"), and administrators.
2. User Accounts
2.1 Registration
To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
2.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Platform and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
2.3 Account Types
- Employee Account: For individuals seeking employment opportunities. You may create a profile, upload your CV, browse jobs, and submit applications.
- Employer Account: For companies and organizations looking to hire. You may post job listings, browse candidate profiles, and manage applications.
3. Platform Usage
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Platform solely for lawful purposes related to seeking employment or hiring employees. You agree not to use the Platform:
- For any unlawful purpose or to solicit the performance of any illegal activity.
- To transmit spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications.
- To impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- To upload, post, or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- To harvest or collect email addresses or other personal information of other users without their consent.
- To interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers or networks connected to the Platform.
3.2 Content You Provide
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Platform, including your profile information, CVs, job postings, and communications. By posting content, you grant Job Connect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with the Platform's services.
4. Job Listings & Applications
4.1 Employer Responsibilities
Employers are responsible for ensuring that all job listings are accurate, non-discriminatory, and comply with applicable employment laws. Job Connect does not guarantee the accuracy of any job listing and is not responsible for any employment decisions made by Employers.
4.2 Employee Responsibilities
Employees are responsible for ensuring that all information provided in their profiles and applications is accurate and truthful. Submitting false or misleading information may result in account termination.
4.3 No Employment Guarantee
Job Connect is a platform for connecting job seekers with employers. We do not guarantee employment or the filling of any position. We are not a party to any employment contract between Employers and Employees.
5. Verification & Trust
Job Connect may offer optional verification services, including but not limited to GST verification for employers and document verification for employees (via DigiLocker or similar services). While we strive to ensure the accuracy of verification results, we do not guarantee the authenticity or accuracy of any verified information.
6. Notifications
By creating an account, you agree to receive notifications related to your job applications, profile activity, and Platform updates. You can manage your notification preferences through your account settings.
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Job Connect. The Platform is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Job Connect.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Job Connect, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Platform.
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform.
- Any content obtained from the Platform.
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
10. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Job Connect makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Platform after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
